ARDA American Resort Development Association
ARDA (American Resort Development Association) was founded in 1969 to represent the resort developers in the timeshare industry. The headquarters of ARDA is located in Washington D.C., but their members are located throughout the world.
ARDA promotes the growth and development of the timeshare industry through its various beliefs and actions. Those beliefs and actions include: advocacy in local, state, and national government affairs, networking with industry leaders and educational seminars, partnerships with industry companies, public relations to maintain the image of the timeshare industry, marketing and legal support.
ARDA has nearly 1,000 members and many of them include privately held companies as well as international corporations and publicly traded companies. ARDA’s members include timeshare resorts, timeshare exchange companies and timeshare resale companies.
ARDA holds an annual conference for the industry where it distributes awards for the following categories:
- Marketing and Sales
- Management and Administration
- Advertising and Promotion
- Resort Design
ARDA is a leader in the timeshare industry and continues to be involved in the future of timeshares as well as the companies in the industry.
