Timeshare Points focus on the true meaning of owning a timeshare, freedom to vacation when and where you want. Depending on the resort group you belong to, timeshare points allow you to book a timeshare week or even partial week at one of the partner resorts. The time part is slightly restricted though because higher demand weeks like Redweek timeshares cost substantially more points than the other times of the year and also need to be booked months in advance.

All of the resorts with points based systems have points that differ in value. For example, 20,000 Wyndham points will not get you nearly as nice of a week as 20,000 Bluegreen Points. Points are great for renting because they give the renter a lot of flexibility in deciding when and where they want to go. This leaves the owner with the simple task of booking the week for the prospective renter to seal the deal. Points are also great for owners looking to sell because buyers know about the flexibility that the points come with.
