Timeshares
Vacations are not just optional. In our hurried lives, we need to get away from all the buzz of the city and just chill out amidst the white sands or on the snowy ski slopes. It’s your pick where you would want to spend your vacation but there is quite a bit of hype about timeshares. But what exactly are timeshares and why should you consider getting one?
Basically, when you own a timeshare you get exclusive rights to use a particular piece of property for a limited period of time. Let’s say you have a timeshare at a ski cabin in Aspen or a posh hotel in Maui. For a specific period within the year, you will be able to enjoy full rights to that property.
If you already own a timeshare we can also assist you with selling or renting it.
When talking about timeshare-ownerships, there are two types – deeded and non-deeded. If you go for the deeded type, you are going for part ownership of the property. You will be able to receive a title of deed of the property and can even pass this on to your heirs. On the other hand, if you purchase a non-deed plan you will be able to enjoy exclusive rights on the property for a limited period of time and only for a definite number of years.
But no matter which plan you decide to purchase, one thing is constant: the price is directly proportional to the period of time within the year that you decide to use the property. Let’s say you purchase a timeshare on a property located on a tropical island. The winter season will normally increase the value of that timeshare. So if you decide to purchase a timeshare on that property that gives you the right to use it in the month of December, be prepared to shell out more cash than you would if you chose to use the property on June.
Before you decide to purchase a timeshare on a specific resort or condominium, it would do you well if you try out the facility first. Make sure that it has all the amenities that you require and desire. A lot of properties are becoming more accommodating to their guests like allowing pets to in the premises or providing 24-hour maintenance for their bungalows or villas so that they resemble hotels.
One thing that tourists would appreciate in timeshares is the fact that they can do without all the preparations that go prior to taking a vacation. All one needs is to confirm their reservation in a timeshare property and then travel there.
